*After most pregnancies, a healthy baby is delivered to a healthy mom. Birth defects in the baby are uncommon. About 15% of pregnant women have miscarriages.
*Care by a doctor or midwife helps you and the child to stay healthy. We can help you find a doctor.
*The baby finishes most of its development at 10 weeks and spends the rest of the time growing.
*Mom can feel the baby kicking at about 16 weeks. The heart starts beating at 3 weeks and can be seen beating on an ultrasound at 8-10 weeks.
*We have life like fetal models, pictures, DVDs and detailed information of the stages of development in our office.
*We also have a small library and our own collective personal experience as mothers (and fathers) to help deal with the normal challenges that come with pregnancy…and we are always happy to share.
For further information about the baby’s development, see “Abortion, Making a Decision.” by the Pennsylvania Health Department.
